Vila Foz Hotel & SPA - member of Design Hotels

I came to Porto to celebrate my birthday. I chose between two special hotels to make my birthday extra special. Unfortunately, I was not noticed by the administration and no one brought a cake with a candle. Although the day before I had stayed at another luxury 5-star hotel and received incredible attention from them, starting with a verbal greeting, changing the room to a higher category, a surprise in the room - a bottle of champagne, and for breakfast they brought a piece of cake with a candle! Unexpected birthday eve surprise, unfortunately Vila Foza doesn't give anything like that to their guest on birthday, instead they could be more considerate asking for passport or ID cards during check-in confirmation. Very helpful girls in the breakfast room, I really sincerely thank them for their helpfulness. The food is delicious. By the way, very friendly concierge, greeted us in my native language! Best wishes to him 😇 I really liked the pleasant communication etiquette felt from the valet parking boy 😎

The people where very friendly and seemed to enjoy their work! The concierge took over every time our car and we received nice recommendations. The food and drinks are excellent, just fantastic! Don´t miss the ham at breakfast - no matter if spanish Pata Negra or a local ham is served, just delicious!!!

Our room was comfortable and reasonably spacious. The bathroom (shower only) was luxurious. There's a lovely balcony with a sea view. Staff are very helpful, efficient and friendly, the concierge deserves a special mention. Location is excellent, next to a series of lively beaches with bars, and there's a frequent bus service into central Porto. There are excellent restaurants nearby and we were also enjoyed a meal in the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant (advance booking recommended, we were lucky to get a cancellation).

One of the best hotels we have stayed in for years—great attention to detail. The food was terrific and the staff went out of their way to please. Guest relations manager, Veronica Amadio, handled any request with a smile and was ever-present. The breakfast was superb! Where do you find Moet & Chandon champagne and fresh Oysters on the breakfast buffet? Truly 5 stars...The rooms are a bit on the small side but were beautifully designed and comfortable.

Best hotel breakfast ever. Comfy beds, nice quiet, dark room for good sleep Great garden and sea view, loved sunny balcony. Spa/pool is really excellent and easy to get to Staff absolutely lovely/helpful + good atmosphere Perfect location, walking distance or fun bus ride to restaurants, but hotel restaurant so good you may not want to. Great hotel bikes and a flat ride either way
